With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like. Please note, this will vary depending on centre opening hours.
Morning Session: 7:00am – 9:00am
Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. When they arrive children have breakfast available to them and are then invited to play.
They have a choice to engage in our programmed activities or play at their leisure. Children have the opportunity to play on either the court, COLA, oval or equipment – depending on what areas are open for the session. Children also have access to crafts inside as well as quiet activities such as reading.
At 9:00 we have roll call and dismiss the children to school.
Afternoon session: 3:25pm – 6:00pm
The afternoon session begins at 3:25pm when the school bell goes. Children will have roll call and then enjoy a nutritious afternoon tea.
Children may then choose to participate in the programmed activities or play at their own leisure. They have access to arts and crafts supplies as well as soccer balls and other outside equipment. Children have the option to play on the oval, court, COLA, or equipment depending on what areas are open.
We close at 6:00pm.
Open 7:00am to 6:00pm
Monday to Friday
(Before school care: 7:00am – 9:15am. After school care: 3:25pm-6:00pm. Vacation care: 7am-6pm)
All Guardian Centres provide a Centre-to-Family communication platform so families can maintain contact with their children’s experiences through photos, stories and learning outcomes.
Our Centres use Storypark and each family is provided with a secure login to access on their computers, mobiles or apps.
Guardian Childcare & Education Rouse Hill OOSH is located on the grounds of Rouse Hill Public School and has been providing caring, friendly and supportive before and after and vacation care for over 10 years. Our centre is dedicated to providing the children with a safe and secure “home away from home” and is naturally bright with many different spaces for the children to interact with in small or large groups as well as quiet individual opportunities.
Our professional staff take time to get to know each child individually and create a happy, warm and safe atmosphere for the children. We offer a wide range of experiences for the children to enjoy each day from quiet book corners to creative experiences, dancing and team sports. Children are encouraged to contribute to the program and they have the freedom use the spacious school grounds, play team-based games or simply spending time with their friends. Providing a variety of opportunities for children to develop their skills and interests forms the basis of our programs.
We place a strong emphasis on involving children with their local community through visitors to the centre, local excursions and our current project, helping to care for our garden. A nutritious breakfast and afternoon tea is provided during the school term.
Our team of Educators are committed and passionate about ensuring your child will be safe, nurtured and cared for every day. At Guardian, children are encouraged to engage in interest-led play that creates learning and meaningful experiences.
Our Educators seek to optimise diverse learning opportunities and implement the Curriculum as framed by the My Time Our Place (MTOP) outcomes. The basis of MTOP is leisure and building on children’s interests so they become capable young people.
