Learn More About Our Centre

Guardian Childcare & Education Doncaster East includes four spacious indoor play spaces and a range of age-specific ateliers. Outdoors features two custom-designed natural play spaces include a treehouse, water pump, a copper water wall, tepees, natural creek beds, an amphitheatre and a yarning circle (where our Kindergarten children come together to connect to country and say their Acknowledgement of Country each morning), which complements the natural backdrop of the local Mullum Mullum Creek.

The team at Guardian Childcare & Education Doncaster East organise a range of fundraising events for the children to be involved in. As part of our community focus, we have a dedicated community space, where parents and community members can spend time meeting and networking.

Our Educators take the time to provide families with up to date information on their child´s day and developmental progress. Our Educators are selected for their qualifications and expertise in the early childhood field and we pride ourselves on the quality of our care, meaningful engagement and relationships we develop with our families and learning community.

Children go on weekly excursions as part of our Out and About Program that allows all age groups to explore our local outdoor community. We engage with our local plant nursery Beasley’s where we often stop to birdwatch, look at the waterfall, find some plants to bring back to the centre or even enjoy a babyccino. As part of our Transition to School program, children and Educators engage with local Primary Schools to build community partnerships that foster a culture of learning and promote positive transitions to school.

The children and Educators often collect herbs and vegetables from the centre’s community garden, working with chef Cecilia to add them to their daily meals or use them as ingredients in cooking classes.
