Guardian Childcare & Education Point Cook South

Guardian Childcare & Education Point Cook South is a light-filled and homely Childcare Centre with a range of spacious indoor and outdoor areas designed to inspire curiosity and exploration.

The Centre boasts three custom-designed yards with vegetable gardens, fruit trees, mud pits, a wooden tepee, natural play structures and a range of other age-specific play areas.

At Guardian Point Cook South, the children get out and about on regular excursions to the local supermarket, the zoo, and Featherbrook Primary School who form an important part of our Kindergarten Program. This program is led by university-qualified teachers who are there to help prepare your child for the exciting transition to primary school.

As part of our community focus, we also have a dedicated parent café in our reception area, where parents can snack on coffee and cakes throughout the day as they do pick-up and drop-off. This community focus was recently on show as our children and families supported bushfire victims through a fundraising car boot sale.

According to Assistant Centre Manager Kim, “We came together to do what we can to assist with the fires currently burning in our country. Families arrived with car boots full to do their part to help. Many discussions with children and their parents were had about the importance of helping people around us who aren’t as fortunate as we are, who may not have the necessities like cereal or a toothbrush. It was amazing to see our community come together and be so generous.”

Our on-site cook prepares meals fresh in the Centre every day, using seasonal ingredients often collected by the children from our on-site vegetable and herb gardens. The Centre also hosts regular hands-on cooking classes for the children, which extends on their understanding of where food comes from and how to establish healthy habits for life.
